Just recently, Logan and Catherine have really started to
bond on a whole new level. They run
around the house singing and chanting and have entire conversations where I do
not recognize one word from the English language. Catherine is getting very brave and quite
fearless. If there is any doubt, Logan
helps her push it aside and go for it.
Their favorite activity is hide and go seek and marching
band. Logan will also talk “Kayke” into
pulling on the curtains. She knows
better, but does it anyway. She finally
received her very first time out and Logan was begging me to “let her go” so he
could play with her. “Logan needs to
play with Kayke.” Repeat 15 times in 60
seconds.
Logan is currently in the I adore my baby sister phase
right now… which is AWESOME. He
completely adores her and is so incredibly sweet to her. I catch him kissing her often and of course
telling her the rules in regards to everything they play with.
Catherine’s tube fell out two weeks ago and she got and infection
immediately. Standing fluid in both ears
so it’s back in for the second set next week.
During this time, Logan has been really genuinely about her. The innocence in his two year old little
heart and mind is just pure joy. When Catherine cries, Logan lets me know a) that she is crying and b) how we go about fixing it. His solution is often milk, medicine, ice
cream and more chocolate milk. "Mommy, Kayke needs both regular milk and chocolate milk!"
