SIX

Turning six is big business.  We have been celebrating Logan's birthday all month long and it has been a lot of fun. Because both sets of grandparents are traveling to Ireland this month, they came up early to celebrate with Logan.  My parents came up the first weekend in April. We went to Logan's t-ball game and watched him play with focus and effort.  We ate ice-cream cake and made a huge pot of corned beef and cabbage.  We also got to try a new reastuarant named Jonathon's the rub. It was delicious. I had lobster tacos for an appetizer and sea bass for my entree.  It was so good, that we went their the next weekend when Brian's parents came into town. That night I had crab cakes for an appetizer and trout for my entree.

Brian's parents came in town with their cousin Jacob.  What is cooler than having a cousin who is 9? That weekend Logan got his first out playing t-ball and he was awarded the game ball.  It is amazing how much better he has become in just one year.  There is actually a lot to learn in regard to baseball or in this case t ball.  For example, you can run past first and home but never second or third.  This is a work in progress.

Sunday we had Logan's birthday party at a bounce house with all sorts of inflatable slides and obstacles.  We do a "formal" birthday party for the kids every other year and Logan was elated when his special day arrived.   Because of the recent flooding in Houston, schools were closed on Monday and Tuesday.  Logan was so happy to have two extra days to play with his toys and asked if more flood days were possible to plan.  Cute question.
