Today Logan turned 2.75 or 33
months but who is counting anyway? I
cannot believe that he is almost 3 years old.
Below is a list of some of his favorites and non-favorites.
Likes- Airplanes, rockets, trains, tools, toolboxes, his toolbox
book, acorns, high fives, school, gymnastics, yoga, and music. His favorite daily activity is hiding when
Brian comes home from work. We talk
about his hiding spots and potential hiding spots all day long and have come up
with some really good ones. However,
each and every day, we end up hiding in the same spot; under the covers in the
guest bed. He also is acutely aware of
his friends and asks about them all the time. He loves to get explanations
about things and realizes that pretty much everything has a purpose or a story
behind it. Sometimes when I am answering
a question he has asked, he will cut me off and say “OK, yeah, OK” like I am
boring him.
Dislikes- Well as any parent of a young child probably knows,
this list is ever changing by the second.
He does not like when we have to go home and he is not ready. He begs me “Mommy, no home now, Logan wants
more ride.” He also really likes to tell
me where I am turning, but dislikes when I turn in a direction that was not in
agreement with him.
Working on- We have been in underwear for about 2 weeks now and
he is really picking it up nicely. We
are also working on a wider range of colors, such as gold, purple and
brown. Brown vs. Black seems to be a
challenge at times. Sharing. Waiting.
Speaking in full sentences.
Eating- His appetite has picked up a bunch since he had his
adenoids removed with his second set of tubes (August 2012). Milk is still by far his absolute
favorite. He loves pistachio nuts and
edamame. I think it has something to do
with the shells.
Sleeping- Up until 3 months ago, Logan was a fabulous sleeper
and very easy in regards to his bedtime routine. Well, the bedtime routine has not changed but
the easy sleeper part no longer exists.
He basically wants to just stay up and talk about the day, either his
day or ours.
